Since the conditions in the mine are much more extreme than above ground, only the best vehicles in their class are used there. Autohaus Jakob has specialized in adapting precisely these vehicles for everyday use underground. The currently valid standards and regulations, such as KlimaBergV, TRGS 554, DIN EN ISO 19296:2018, of the individual mines are observed and complied with.
The tasks of these vehicles include all areas of transporting goods and passenger transport.

Regular checks of the mine workings utilising radar measurement have been the best rated technique for many years, in contrast to the conventional pilot hole measurement method.
The radar measurement also enables monitoring between the individual pilot holes, with reliable evaluations down to an observation depth of 3m. In addition to detachments in the mountains, geological anomalies can also be detected. This leads to a more targeted and effective implementation of securing measures at a section height between 1.85 m and 7.00 m.
The emergency rescue vehicles on the basis of the Jeep® vehicles, which are characterized by high payload capacity and a large load volume, are available for very specific rescue cases. These vehicles are very well suited to the needs of the emergency physicians, where high safety and maximum payload are important.
It is only the consistent implementation of the actual needs of the police, rescue services, fire brigades or disaster relief, which can be carried out over several hours or even several days.
